My congratulations to Mr Gebisa Ejeta and thanks Mr Blogger for sharing. It scares me to death when i think that Africa, despite all its arable lands, imports more than half of its food (specially grains). It makes economically sense to get cheap food (of free for that matter) from elsewhere but it needs to be also acknowledged that it does increase Africa's vulnerability.
